Difficult Interactions with Right-Wing Individuals Who Deny Scientific Fact
Here are examples of two type of individuals I’ve had interactions with from the right. Both are difficult to debate on any level as they deny scientific fact.
Type one:
This person refuses to move beyond middle school basic biology. They have issues with complex concepts such as gender and sex, how they are related, and how they are different. This person needs to further their education to have a meaningful conversation. Depending on how strongly they hold that middle school education as the full truth, they may or may not be capable of expanding their horizons.
Type two:
This person understands the commonality and inconsistencies between gender and sex, but they still believe others are “choosing” to be their authentic self. They are being willfully ignorant of their own knowledge. I’m not sure someone who believes verifiable facts are wrong can grow without breaking.
