So, essentially, Hegseth is arguing that men are incapable of seeing women as equals. This is exactly the same argument people use to justify when a woman is raped. If a male soldier is distracted by a female soldier in his unit, that’s the male soldiers issue. You don’t bar qualified soldiers because of someone else’s distraction. You either correct the distracted soldier or you reassign them.

He’s also saying our soldiers are incapable of something the Israel Defense Force has done since 1995. To be clear, they are still in the process of integrating the front line assault units, but everything Hegseth is dismissing above is already integrated.

Count that as two things Israel is doing that backward ass Republicans refuse the allow here. Universal healthcare and women in combat.

It sure sounds as if the republicans want to put women back in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant. Meanwhile Kristi Noeme complains about liberals and far left being the group that puts down women if they don’t meet a beauty standard.

Um, no, Kristi, that would be people like your boss, who famously said there was no way he could have sexually assaulted E. Jean Carroll because she’s not pretty. SA is not about pretty or pleasure asshole. It’s about power and control, just like overturning Roe and wanting women’s suffrage overturned is.

You know, I get the distinct impression that many people on the right would not like each other if they didn’t have a raging boner for power. A true culture of, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
