You chose the dictator telling you what you want to hear, rather than the woman who would have attempted to improve the lives of all Americans. If you are like most other of his supporters, you believe liberals are trying to get rid of the second amendment and take your guns. While there is a small minority that may feel that way, There is nowhere near the number of citizens required to remove a constitutional amendment. Threatening violence is a fear response. It’s an unfounded, irrational fear. Logically thinking about the possibilities would quell most of the fear.

Another thing to consider is that every advantage and benefit you enjoy today is a result of progressivism. The five day workweek, weekends, unemployment benefits, the fact that your boss does not lock you into your workplace during your shift. Also, fire departments, public schools, roads, freeways, unions, and parks are all originally created by progressives.

Additionally, this nation was created by one of the finest collections of progressives the world has ever seen. The constitution is a progressive masterpiece. Without the progressive ideals spelled out within its pages, this would not be the nation it is. Starting with free speech. No government before ours put limitations on itself and codified those limits within its founding documents.

What a radical idea, right!?

It’s the same with every enumerated right in the constitution. But it doesn’t stop there. The constitution even has a very progressive idea that people can retain rights for themselves without the government’s permission, approval, or help. That’s the ninth amendment.

Finally, conservatives have been, and will always be, on the wrong side of history. Conservative ideals are more restrictive than anything the progressives want to do.
